The International Peace Award (UNAA Vic) will be presented to Dr Stella Cornelius in conjunction wiht the UNAA National Conference (see below) on Friday 13 August in the NSW Parliamant Theatrette. Theme: The State of the World post Copenhagen

Opening: Sir Laurence Street AC KCMG QC Former Chief Justice of NSW and son of       Jessie Street.

Keynote Lecture: Professor Robert Hill,  National President UNAA, former Ambassador to the UN and Chancellor elect Adelaide University

Topics: Eminent speakers will address the following topics:
  • The UN and Climate Change 2010
  • The Millennium Development Goals
  • Human Rights
  • Peace around the World
  • Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament
  • Linking Conservation and Poverty Reduction

A panel of speakers will respond to questions on world affairs posed by participants.

Reception: The proceedings will conclude with a reception at Parliament House.
